CHARACTERISTICS OF THE SCHOOL

The publishing of the work of the master Henri de Sainct-Didier is officially considered as the beginning of this school, although it acquired its specific form as late as in the course of the 17th century. It contains mainly fencing with cord, later also with baroque and rococo cordlet and fleuret. French school is one of the alive schools too, and has a continuation in the form of present-day sport-fencing.
